Detailed Description:

The area of a triangle can be calculated using a formula attributed to Heron of Alexandria. This calculation requires that the lengths of all three sides be known. This activity includes an Excel file to calculate the area of a triangle and also includes Java Files to experiment with interactive triangles. One can explore the Triangle inequality Theorem whil exmining the acceptable ranges for the third side of triangle.
