Detailed Description:
This activity is a demonstration of the use of expected value in a (very simplified) real-world application. Consider the following question: hermits visiting each other spread disease on a secluded island, until a hermit who is immune because he has already had the disease is visited. On average, how many total visits will there be before the disease stops spreading?
