Resistance

The resistance applet is still in development, and has a few bugs. It's kind of slow, and sometimes when you adjust the resistor, the charges get stuck and won't move. If you adjust the voltage, even if you don't change it much, that will free up the stuck charges. I'm going to fix that, but not today.

Use the sliders to change the voltage of the battery and the resistance of the resistor. Observe the effect on the current. What happens to the current when you increase the voltage? What happens when you increase the resistance?

This applet was written by Lisa Denise Murphy at the University of Illinois. Early drafts were written in 1999. The current version was last revised in January of 2000.
