    Meeting cancelled. Development continuing on floating point system applet.

 

Date: October 18, 2000

    At this weeks meeting, Dr. Heath and I spent our time testing and debugging the floating-point system java applet. We then outlined several changes needed to make it a more effective visualization tool of a floating point system. The remainder of the meeting consisted of planning the developmental direction of our quadratic formula web activity.

 

Date: October 25, 2000

    At yesterday's meeting, we went over the newest versions of the Floating-Point Systems Applet and Quadratic Formula Activity and outlined several changes to work on this week. Overall, the Floating-Point Applet is very close to completion and ready for the web. We are approaching the point where we will begin development on activities contained in chapter two of Dr. Heath's book.
