The Light Sensor can be used for measurements of light intensity. It approximates
the human eye in spectral response. The sensor can be used over three different
illumination ranges.
Use the Light Sensor:
- to show inverse square light intensity using a point source of light
- to show inverse square light intensity using straight or circular
fluorescent tubes of light
- to show the flicker of fluorescent lamps and other lamps
- with polarized filter studies
- with solar energy studies
- with reflectivity studies
- with studies of the light intensity in various parts of a house or school
- as part of a weather study to monitor sunrise and sunset times
- as part of a study of plant growth to measure light intensity
