The Dual-Range Force Sensor is a general-purpose device for measuring forces.
It can be used as a replacement for a hand-held spring scale.  The Force Sensor
can measure both pulls and pushes from .01 newtons to 50 newtons.
Use the Dual-Range Force Sensor to:
- study force and impulse during collisions
- study simple harmonic motion
- monitor frictional force
- study Hooke's law
- monitor the thrust of model rocket engines
- measure the force on a dynamics cart at the same time you monitor acceleration
- measure the force required to lift a known weight using simple machines
- measure the heat of vaporization of liquid nitrogen
