Opinions on the After School Tutoring/Homework Help Program

Eleven parents responded to the survey. Data were complete for ten. The students are classified by gender and year in school as in the table below.

The parents were asked the number of students having attended the After School/Tutoring program last year as well as the current year. Results are as below.

As the graph below indicates, 10 of the parents responded, ‘Yes’, with 1 undecided.

• My child and I talk about the After School Tutoring/ Homework Help Program

As the graph below indicates, 6 of the parents responded, ‘Yes’, with 1 undecided and 3 stating ‘No.’One response was missing.

As a result of the program, my child is doing better in.. (what subject)

As the above graph indicates, mathematics is mentioned far more frequently as the subject in which the students are doing better as a result of the program.

The program has helped her/him in the following ways:

• Talking out her problems
• Helped her to stay out of the streets
• (Teacher) helped me in math
• Help understand exponents
• Doing better in math
• Allowing her to take her time on her work
• It help me put my work before anything
• His attitude changed. It\'s more positive and he\'s happier.
• By the math she is learning in the After School Program

The program could be improved in the following ways:

• By having more activities and field trips
