Opinions on the After School Tutoring/Homework Help Program

Six parents responded to the survey, with data complete for four children, as classified by gender and year in school in the table below.

The parents were asked the number of children having attended the After School/Tutoring program last year as well as the current year. Results are as below.

Parents were asked:

  • As a result of the program, does your (she or he) child look forward to going to school?

As the graph below indicates, 4 of the parents responded, ‘Yes’, with 1 undecided and 1 ‘No’.

  • My child and I talk about the After School Tutoring/ Homework Help Program

As the graph below indicates, all 6 of the parents responded, ‘Yes’

As a result of the program, my child is doing better in.. (what subject)

As the above graph indicates, mathematics and social studies were mentioned for one student.

These comments were offered by the parents about the program.

The program has helped her/him in the following ways:

  • With computer access
  • Be more responsible
  • Social interaction

The program could be improved in the following ways:

  • Fixing the kids a little snack
  • Doing more things, active - hands on
  • Will need to gather additional info to comment
  • More attending schools
