A Letter to the Students

As you can see, statistics are quite useful when trying to interpret data. They are used to evaluate performances, predict events, explain phenomena, and so much more.

Thank you for taking the time to go through this lesson. I hope it helped you not only understand, but enjoy statistics.

For further experience with variance, I recommend you check out Ed Malczewski's lesson on variance and covariance (you'll probably recognize some of the materials).

I hope you will take the time to send me an email (at Jay Hill) with your comments and criticisms. I would love to hear from you and I'm always looking to improve my lessons.

Thanks again and I hope you continue to surf the net for knowledge.

Sincerely,
Jay Hill
