The Motion Detector emits ultrasonic pulses and waits for an echo.  The
time it takes for the reflected pulses to return is used to calculate distance,
velocity, and acceleration.  Its range is .4 to 6 meters.
Use the Motion Detector:
Walking toward and away from the detector
with carts rolling on a table or track
with objects in simple harmonic motion, such as a weight hanging on a string
with pendulum motions
with air track gliders
with objects dropped or tossed upward
with a bouncing object

acceleration of a ball toss
