Opinions on the After School Tutoring/Homework Help Program

Five parents responded to the survey, with data complete for three children, as classified by gender and year in school in the table below.

The data are graphed below

The parents were asked the number of students having attended the After School/Tutoring program last year as well as the current year. Results are graphed below.

Parents were asked:

  • As a result of the program, does your (she or he) child look forward to going to school?

As the graph below indicates, all 5 of the parents responded ‘Yes‘.

  • My child and I talk about the After School Tutoring/ Homework Help Program

As the graph below indicates, 3 of the parents responded, ‘Yes’, and 1 stated ‘No.’

As a result of the program, my child is doing better in.. (what subject)

As the above graph indicates, mathematics is mentioned far more frequently as the subject in which the students are doing better as a result of the program.

These comments were offered by the parents about the program.

The program has helped her/him in the following ways:

  • Grade went from low D to high C
  • Better grades
  • Staying out of trouble

The program could be improved in the following ways:

  • Open more days
  • More activities
