Attitudes toward school/after school programs

The students were asked to complete a survey about their attitudes toward school and the after school program.

A total of 102 students took the Fall survey.

Reported race of students is as follows:

Data were complete for 87 of the students. The majority of them were female and sophomores, as shown in the table and graph below:

Students were asked to respond "yes" or "no" to each of the following:

  • I look forward to tutoring/after school program.
  • My parents talk to me about the after school program.
  • I feel safe and comfortable during the after school program.
  • The after school program helps me do better in school.
  • The after school staff encourages me to do well in school.

As the graph below shows: All of the students report feel safe and that the program has helped them do better in school. Nearly all view the staff as encouraging them to do well in school and that that their parents talk them about the program.
