Relating Measures

Relating Two Measures

Most of the statistics you have probably dealt with are measures on one variable alone. For example the average weight of a class, or the variance of test scores. Sometimes, however you need to the think about the relationship between two variables.

For example: Is their an obvious relationship between age and traffic violations obtained?

Why is that important?

Who would care about this kind of relationship?

Discuss this with your class.
