Dialogues in Methods of Education
DIME is a group of educators who have been meeting
twice a year since 1980. Members include teachers at all levels, specialists,
administrators, and researchers. There is an emphasis on mathematics and
science learning, but discussions range across the curriculum. The dialogues
touch many topics, including hands-on learning, problem solving, collaborative
learning, innovations in teaching, making sense of student work, assessment,
communication with parents, and multicultural classrooms.
