DIASTOLIC BLOOD PRESSURE BETWEEN FEMALES WHO SMOKE AND FEMALES WHO DON'T

T Confidence Intervals
Variable N Mean StDev
SE Mean 95.0 % CI
Female N 12 65.50 9.79
2.83 ( 59.28, 71.72)
Female S 8 72.88 14.50
5.12 ( 60.75, 85.00)
-Female nonsmokers have a lower median and interquartile range as far as the box plots go, and a lower mean as far as the t-intervals go.
-Female
smokers have lower minimum blood pressure, and a very high interquartile range.
Looking
at these graphs alone, it appears that the smokers have higher blood pressure
readings than the non-smokers. However,
there are some outliers that show that the data is not normally distributed. More samples could help tell if blood
pressure readings between non-smokers and smokers are significantly different.
