††††††††††† I found it very difficult to find a suitable site that explained probability. I looked through many different sites and was very dissatisfied and puzzled by many. I did not find any sites that were strictly dedicated to Probability or Statistics and I definitely could not find any sites that were geared towards teaching children these concepts. I finally settled on a site that is based out of Queensland, Australia. This site covers many topics and probability happens to be one of them. This sites web address is http://exploringdata.cqu.edu.au/probabil.htm.

††††††††††† I really found this site user-friendly and easy to navigate. I also liked the fact that it is full of different mathematical topics and concepts. This site is meant to be a resource for teachers and students. It has a variety of options regarding each lesson and presents the material clearly and interestingly. It uses games to teach these concepts and each game uses the principles of probability. I enjoyed the Prisonerís game in which you have to save your team by rolling a sequence of dice numbers. I also enjoyed the web tutorial which went into greater depth about probability and statistics. Worksheets are also available to practice and reinforce concepts. I feel this site allows children to make meaningful connections with the concepts and furthers understanding. I feel as if I gained a better grasp on probability as I reviewed it myself. It was great to make these connections while playing the game and for one of the few times, I really thought Mathematics was fun.

††††††††††† I also like that this site makes connections to probability in the outside world. There is a link to websites that display current events having to do with probability. I was intrigued to see newspapers from all over and discover that statistical analysis and probability were taking place within current events. I think this would particularly interest children and expand their horizons to articles throughout the world. I definitely plan to use this site in my teaching. I do wish there were more lessons regarding probability, but the one I found is exceptional. I believe this site is helpful to students and teachers and is useful in that it covers a wide array of topics. The only drawback as I said before is the lack of lessons regarding probability. One will need to continue to search for that.
