Description:
This course is for practicing teachers (K-12) that are
interested in learning to use computer and
calculator-based technologies in their classrooms. No
previous experience with these technologies is necessary.
The World Wide Web will be the forum for exploring and
creating classroom-ready materials for use by each
participant in the course. The particular curricular
emphasis will be on mathematics and science. However,
teachers from other disciplines are welcome to enroll in
the class. Teachers looking for ways to integrate
different curricula (e.g., history and science, or
mathematics and writing) are especially encouraged to
enroll in the course, as the emphasis will be on a
cross-disciplinary approach.
